A woman who was in April jailed six months for spitting and racist remarks targeted at an Air India staff after she was denied alcohol was found dead at the foot of Beachy Head in East Sussex, less than two weeks after being released from a women’s prison.
Simone Burns, 50, from Hove, was sentenced to six months in April for the racist rant against Air India staff during a flight from Mumbai last year.
A recorded video of the incident shows Burns demanding to speak to the pilot after cabin crew denied her another bottle of wine due to her level of drunkenness.
She was in the business class and had already partaken three bottles of wine.
Burns was denied more and went on a verbal attack directed at staff, bragging that she was an international lawyer.
She smoked a cigarette in the toilets during the tirade which left other passengers ‘shocked’.
Burns was diagnosed with skin cancer 18 years ago and had to have several surgeries.
