Theresa May, who left her position as United Kingdom Prime Minister on Wednesday, broke down after her last speech as leader before handing over to Boris Johnson.
May, who resigned in June, was given a standing ovation by MPs following her last Prime Minister’s Questions and looked teary at the end of it.
She was applauded from the chamber after making her farewell before handing over to Johnson.
In her speech May said: “At its heart, politics is about the difference we make every day to lives of people up and down this country.”
May has served as the PM for the United Kingdom in 2016 and is expected to tender her resignation to the Queen Wednesday.
